A bill called H6034 in the Rhode Island Senate would increase the aggregate amount of tax credits for contributions to scholarship organizations to $5,000,000 for 2022, and support School Choice for Rhode Island families.
Supporters - and that includes you, families! - are asked to visit the school choice website - edchoiceri.org, click on the link “Contact your local Senator or Representative”, and type in your address. The names and contact information of your district's Senators and Representatives will appear. Click on the name of your Representative, and a letter requesting your support of the passage of H6034 will appear. Sign the letter and click send.
In December 2020, the McVinney community unveiled a mural comprised of drawings by the beloved Father Bob Perron, colored by our students. Father Bob was a faithful, respected, and cherished member of our school family. We felt truly blessed by the opportunity to honor him through the art he so loved to create.
In the upcoming months, we will begin sharing information about the Father Robert Perron Memorial Scholarship Program. It is our hope that Father Bob's memory will live on through the academic excellence of our students.
We plan to award the first Father Bob Scholarship(s) beginning in the Fall of 2021.
If you are interested in honoring Fr. Bob while supporting the academic careers of our dedicated students, and would like more information, I invite you to start a conversation with me at development@bmv-school.org.
Thank you, and more details to come!

In December 2020, McVinney alum Minh Le lent a much-needed hand to repair some floor tiles around the school that had fallen into disrepair. Mr. Hebert was thrilled about his visit and his kindness. We are so grateful for his time, talent, and treasure!
Thank you, Minh Le, for being a McVinney Hero!
