We would like to thank Mrs. Mello for all her help throughout this challenging year and through distance learning! Thank you to all the wonderful teachers from Bishop McVinney School!
Kindly,
The Diaz Family!

Both our kids attended the Early Childhood Program at Bishop McVinney (BMV) School, and they had an excellent experience there. The teachers were attentive, caring, and had great communication regarding daily activities. The integration of school and day care in one location provides stability for the kids. Also, their opening and closing time is flexible for busy parents. My kids were always excited to attend school and have fond memories of Ms. Shereen’s class. We highly recommend the Early Childhood Program at BMV to any parent considering it!

"To the amazing teachers at Bishop McVinney,
THANK YOU for everything you do!"
I want to thank Mr. Bohan for his dedication, patience, and the positive learning environment he provides. We really appreciate your constant support. You are exceptional, Mr. Bohan!
Ms. Wheeler- You are not just teaching, you are showing your students the importance of education. Thank you for your dedication and for caring so much about your students. I am so grateful that you are Shai’s teacher.
Mr. Palmer- Thank you for your dedication and support; for always encouraging Shai to do better. We miss seeing you every morning, welcoming the students and parents in front of the school. Thank you for always reaching out to make sure everything is ok with Shai- especially now during distant learning. We really appreciate you Mr. Palmer.
Also, thank you Mr. Hebert, Ms. Hayes, Mr. Danny and every single one of you at Bishop McVinney that have contributed in both of my daughters’ growth and success. My family and I are forever grateful!

My son Tyrone is a student in Ms. Laflamme’s Kindergarten classroom and I cannot begin to express the gratitude I have for the hard work and diligence Ms. Laflamme has exhibited especially during this time of crisis. While we have entered into a challenging time of distance learning, Ms. Laflamme has been a wonderful resource and has made learning at home fun for my son. I have watched him grow in reading and math over these past few weeks and I am so happy that she is his teacher.

Thank you very much Ms. Laflamme. This is such a difficult time for everyone. To be honest, as I am working full time from home and the two of us are sharing a desk, there are days when we become so frustrated with each other that I am relieved he is able to turn in his work at all!We both appreciate the time and energy you have put into developing the daily lessons and weekly schedules for the students. That level of preparation does lessen the amount of work we need to do to be ready for each day. Similarly, your ability to guide us all through the pitfalls of our new technologies has been wonderful.
As I have said before in the Google Classroom, your patience during the morning meetings is heroic. All of the children are doing so well, but I think it is clear that there are varying levels of distraction at home. You navigate it all very well.
Finally I would like to say for the record that although I am convinced my child is a genius (kidding, not kidding) I am continually delighted at how much he knows that I have not directly taught him. I know without doubt that he has improved in your class and that he has learned great study habits that will carry him into 1st grade and beyond. His attention and synthesis of information makes me very proud. Thank you for all you have done to help shape him into a true student.
During the conversation at the beginning of today's meeting, while you empathized with the a student about missing recess together I asked John Philip if he missed that too. He nodded, but added. I miss Miss Laflamme though, too. I think in small group tomorrow he will be telling you that in person.
I hope that you don't mind that I am sharing this email with Mr. Hebert. I think he should know first hand that Bishop McVinney School is lucky to have you.
All my best,
MJ, Mother of Kindergartener John-Philip

I want to take this time to thank all of the leaders at Bishop McVinney school. I especially want to thank Miss Dorothy and Miss LaFlamme, both of whom are teachers to my daughter and son.
My daughter has thrived in Miss Dorothy's class and with the online videos and zoom conferences that she was able to have with her teacher. Those lessons helped make our family feel 'whole' in such crazy times. My daughter loved the lessons she sent and especially loved the video where she was able to draw a robot, even Myles participated! Thank you, Miss Dorothy, for pouring kindness, encouragement and the love of the Lord into my daughter! She's still teaching us sign language and "performs" those songs they sang for Bishop Tobin!
I also want to thank Miss LaFlamme, who wakes up early and has a seesaw video for the children every morning! I've sat near Myles through some of the zoom lessons and they were initially chaotic! I have no idea how she was able to show such patience with all of the kids talking and the background noise, but she handles it like a champ and has gotten the kids very organized. Initially, Myles was very quiet during the first few lessons, but you understood that this was new for all of them and you exhibited patience, support, and kindness. I now can hear Myles participating and answering questions during the lessons.
Thank you, Mr. Hebert, for having such wonderful staff! I hope and pray that we can get back to our BMV family in the fall! Thank you, Miss Dorothy and Miss LaFlamme for being awesome teachers!
Sincerely,
Tanisha Watkins-Williams, Parent

It is something new but at the same time it has offered us many tools to help our children, so that they are at the same level as if they were attending class in person. I want to take this opportunity to applaud the effort Mrs. Gariepy is making. God bless you.

Darien, Marlysa, Peter and I would like to extend our gratitude to the teachers and staff of Bishop McVinney School.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and drastic changes to school routine, Darien and Marlysa have adjusted fairly well. They very much miss their classmates, teachers and daily socialization but are reminded that it is only temporary and are looking forward to returning to a normal school routine.
In addition, we have been kept updated on daily activities and assignments via email/phone by teachers.I have been fortunate to work from home. Although it is challenging at times to juggle work and acting as a “substitute” teacher to Darien and Marlysa, I have a newfound respect for teachers! Your talent is NEEDED and highly respected!
Thank you for all that you do and thank you for being patient with me while I learn to facilitate my children’s education from home.
Thank you to Mr. Hebert, Ms. Annette and all of the staff at BMV. You are missed and I pray that God protect you today and always!
With love,
The Peterson Family
